Online video advertising is increasingly being seen as an essential part of the marketing mix, a new study has indicated.
Research conducted by Smartclip indicated that 71 per cent of marketing professionals are planning to use web video in future campaigns.
As reported by Utalkmarketing.com, the study discovered that 72 per cent of advertisers view the medium as offering transparency and accountability.
Jamie Estrin, managing director of the Web TV Enterprise advertising network, claimed the market is definitely expanding.
"With more and more premium video content going online, the audience is growing all the time," he added.
"As with any evolving market place, there are lots of new players arriving there."
Back in February, PricewaterhouseCoopers' senior manager Eva Berg-Winters claimed that the online video and TV advertising markets are beginning to converge.
She noted that cross-channel integration is being witnessed as firms look to maximise the coverage of their promotional campaigns.
