An Irish field marketing firm has experienced a lack of interest from job applicants, despite advertising for new staff, it has been reported.
CPM Ireland's recent marketing recruitment drive has been met with a relatively lukewarm response, according to Dublin office manager Alan Peyton.
Speaking to the Irish Independent, he explained that the firm was seeking to add another 70 marketing professionals to its books before the end of January, with permanent and part-time roles available.
And although CPM is not having difficulties filling the vacancies, Mr Peyton said greater competition had been expected between applicants.
He stated: "These are proper jobs, we're talking about basic salaries of between ?23,000 (£20,400) and ?30,000, plus a company car or a car allowance, plus bonuses and commissions."
Mr Peyton added that the roles offered career progression opportunities and good long-term prospects.
Last week, Bigmouthmedia predicted that the digital marketing industry will continue to evolve during 2010 ? comments which may raise hopes of further recruitment in the sector.
