The growing sophistication of cybercrime attacks is a major problem for businesses, it has been suggested.
According to Panda Security technical director Luis Corrons, firms must do all they can to safeguard their computer systems ? comments which may encourage firms to ramp up their IT recruitment plans.
He claimed that the industry is working hard to combat the scammers, providing almost real-time updates via cloud computing systems, but the criminals are responding by developing new malware.
By creating polymorphic infections which change code after every attack, online criminals are able to continue targeting businesses and consumers, Mr Corrons suggested.
"In the underworld market, where you can buy Trojans and this kind of stuff, they even sell those kind of malicious codes with technical support and updates," he added.
IT security firm Symantec recently reported that 75 per cent of global businesses have been affected by web-based attacks in the last year alone.
