British Airways has made a major marketing recruitment move, hiring Kerris Bright from AkzoNobel.
She joins the international carrier as its new head of global marketing and will work under Andrew Crawley, British Airways' sales and marketing director.
He described Ms Bright's new role as "one of the top marketing jobs in the industry".
"I am confident her experience will help us transform our business through innovative and creative marketing campaigns worldwide" Mr Crawley commented.
Ms Bright said she had been offered a "unique and exciting opportunity" to further her career.
She has worked at firms including Unilever, Quest International, Unipath and ICI Paints since graduating from university in 1991.
Last week, it was reported that the Times had appointed Paul Gilshan as its new head of marketing.
