  • This is a 12month Fixed Term contract to work on a specific project to re-develop a commercial website; it's currently written in classic ASP with an SQL 2005 back-end.

    The successful candidate will be joining a unique engineering company that has been in existence for more than a century. They provide services and guidance for companies across the UK and internationally and have a strong industry reputation.

    To be considered you will need a solid and demonstrable background in developing high quality, scalable web applications in C# / .Net as well as an understanding of classic ASP. You will also require strong experience with database design, optimisation and development using MS SQL 2005/2008 and ETL techniques for data migration and transformation.

    The ideal candidate will have demonstrable skills and experience with all or most of the following:

    • Classic ASP
    • .Net / C#
    • SQL Server 2005/2008 (database design, creation of stored procedures, SSIS)
    • Windows Azure / SQL Azure Database
    • HTML / XHTML

    Any experience with Kentico CMS would strongly support your application but is not essential.

    • Fixed term contract position offering a basic salary of £ 40,000 per annum
