User Experience Designer

The Ashdown Group have been engaged to find a technical marketing and design expert to lead the user experience of a recognised financial services brand. The design team is an integral part of the marketing department and provide a strong visual resource for the company to ensure that the brand is communicated effectively internally and externally. 

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the user experience efforts to bring results, research and reports to the development and product teams.  This senior position focuses on the usability testing and user interface design of a large scale, highly transactional web application that operates across multiple platforms. You will provide management, leadership and guidance to a globally dispersed team, building a new UX team within the company, as well as encouraging collaboration with the existing wider team.

To be suitable you must have proven commercial experience of delivering user centred design projects for financial services brands and designing user experience for large scale web applications. You will have good knowledge of web application best practise, ideally Agile UX.

Technically you must be able to coordinate and carry out usability testing with clients across the globe, providing usability test plans, moderation and test reporting to the relevant teams.

Creatively you will need to interpret results and provide wireframe redesigns and adjustments to existing versions.

The right candidate for this role will be confident in working closely with clients to understand requirements and have excellent documentation and presentation skills.
