Systems Administrator

A fantastic opportunity has become available for a Systems Administrator to join a highly successful manufacturing organisation based in the Kettering area of Northamptonshire. This position will play a lead role in the support and administration of IT systems, infrastructure and telecommunications.

The Systems Administrator will participate in both European and internal projects along with undertaking daily support activities within a Windows Server environment. You will have an excellent working knowledge of Microsoft products (server to desktop), whilst possessing sound knowledge and delivery of new technologies.

To be considered for this role you will have at least 5 years’ experience within IT Support and knowledge of support and administration within a manufacturing environment. Ideally you will have achieved a Microsoft Certification (MCSA, MCSE, MCTS or MCIPT) and it is essential you have the following technologies;

•    Networking Hardware and Switch Router configuration

•    Windows Server (2003 / 2008) system administration

•    Windows Terminal Server administration

•    Exchange server 2007/10

•    VMware

•    Network maintenance, network security & monitoring

•    MS Office Suite 2003/10

•    Wireless networking

•    IP Addressing, Network Protocols and Network and Internet security

•    Telecom switches and protocols

•    Blackberry Enterprise Server

•    General first line ERP support

Travel between my Clients sites will be required (pool car) and a clean and current driving licence is required. It is expected that the successful employee will on occasions be required to work beyond normal working hours (40hrs) and participate in ‘out of hours’ support, on a ‘call out’ rota.
