Systems Administrator

This role presents a unique opportunity to join an exciting online e-gaming/e-gambling company based in Central London that requires a talented hands-on Systems Administrator to play a key role in their continued growth and success.

Your role will include: providing system administration, analysis, and design functions for all the company's computer systems - this involves the full spectrum from helping design, create and run the production and development/QA environments through to configuring and maintaining our email system, internal office network and associated hardware.

In addition you will also be responsible for: developing, implementing and maintaining appropriate back-up and disaster recovery strategies for the systems, utilising tools and scripts to create and manage systems and/or application processes and assist with providing out-of-hours on-call cover for problems with production systems.
Another important element of the role will be to provide and maintain documentation for all systems.

Technically you must have experience with all or most of the following:

• Installation & configuration of Apache, Java & PostgreSQL
• Linux / Unix shell scripting - bash, awk or Python
• Experience with Java Build deployment tools like Ant, Maven, Bamboo or Nexus
• A good understanding of Ethernet Bonding & Bridging, HTTP, DNS, SMTP & SSL
• Monitoring tools like Nagios or Zymon/Hobbit

Though not essential it would support your application if you had experience with the following: LDAP, SNMP, Virtualisation like Linux KVM, Subversion, Postfix, Tomcat, hosting from multiple data centres, HTTP accelerators like Varnish, ProCurve switches and load HA-Proxy or other load balancers.
