SQL Developer

A leading Birmingham business which produces develops innovative software for blue chip organisations is looking for a SQL Developer who can produce databases and reporting functions, to join its expanding design and development team.

Based from their office close to the centre of Birmingham, the SQL Developer will be tasked with ensuring that all the databases and associated systems are operating reliably and are suitably optimised. In addition to creating databases you will be tasked with fully utilising key reporting and Business Intelligence tools.

In order to be suitable for this role you need to have an excellent understanding of SQL Server 2008. You will need to be comfortable discharging a range of support, administration, maintenance and development responsibilities and be keen to play a key role in the enhancement of reporting tools (SSIS and SSRS).

You will be expected to develop in line with company standards, including code reviews, version control and thorough testing.

Any previous experience of SQL Server Administration, SSAS, SharePoint, Team Foundation Server or C# would be beneficial but is not essential. If you do not have this experience training will be provided and the business will work with you to develop an expertise in these technologies.
