This is a fantastic opportunity for a talented and creative SEO Manager to join an extremely well known retail brand. They are a fast moving company and need a motivated individual who can work on multiple websites, blogs, and mobile sites to promote their products and services.
The ideal candidate will have strong commercial and business awareness, very good communication skills and the ability to work at a strategic level.
They will also have experience of running large Business to Consumer (B2C) SEO campaigns, a very good understanding of SEO analytics software i.e. Advanced Web Ranking, SEO Moz tools, Omniture and the ability to provide comprehensive reporting about online marketing activity and to make commercial recommendations from this.
The purpose of this role is to drive natural search traffic to this well-known retailer’s website, mobile site & various blogging platforms and to efficiently maximise sales from customer visits. You will provide advice and guidance to the wider team on all SEO related strategies and ideas and will play a key role in the company’s large Marketing team.
It is essential that you have had commercial experience in a relevant fast paced industry sector i.e. retail or travel.
To be considered for this position you are required to have an advanced level of Online Marketing knowledge and an excellent understanding of how search engines and websites work.
You will also need a solid understanding of issues surrounding user experience, accessibility and information architecture.
In addition you will need demonstrable skills and experience in all or most of the following:
Develop, scope & deliver the SEO strategy for a major website, mobile site & various blogging platforms
• Work closely with the company’s web developers to ensure the website is optimised
• Create & pull content from all areas of the business & market to actively publish on relevant online forums, new sites & directories
• Integrate & develop SEO in conjunction with multiple channels
• Develop a network of bloggers & writers who can build the company’s presence across key websites & our community site
• Produce SEO analysis including: performance metrics & keyword research
• Comprehensively research & analyse competitor sites & search results pages
This role holds budgetary responsibility for agency costs and SEO activity; it would strongly support your application if you had managed agency relationships in the past and/or had experience working closely with them to ensure the quality of their delivery.
From a technical perspective you must be able to confidently produce technical change requests for a variety of site changes including all of the following: Internal link optimisation, SEO technical analysis and evaluation, Website architecture problems and HTML and CMS optimisation.
