Senior Network Consultant

The Ashdown Group has been engaged by a leading technical consulting business to assist them in their search for a new Senior Network Consultant. This is a client facing role so communication skills must be of the highest standard. A deep knowledge of networking protocols and a ready facility with Cisco technologies is essential. The successful candidate will be Cisco accredited to at least CCNA level.

Experience of network monitoring and maintenance tools such as Opnet's APM and NPM suite, Wireshark or Tivoli Netcool Omnibus is required. The broader your experience with these technologies, the better. A broad experience with operating systems (Windows, Linux, UNIX) is also required. Knowledge of VMWare and Thin Client technology would be highly advantageous.

Some scripting skills are also required, preferably with Perl. Java, VB or SQL coding skills would also be beneficial. You MUST have a full, UK driving licence and should be eligible to take UK security clearance to SC level.
