Senior Business Analyst

To be considered for this role it is ESSENTIAL that you have a deep level of understanding of the commodity trading sector – ideally energy trading. Please ensure your commodity trading experience is clearly highlighted on your CV.

Reporting to the Chief Architect this position may suit a Senior Business Analyst looking to take the next step in their career or someone working in a similar role that is looking for a fresh challenge.

The successful candidate will have responsibility for documenting the operating model and carrying out detailed analysis of business requirements.

You will also capture and define the business capabilities, business processes and business rules in a coherent form to aid the development of the business operational model. You will also be involved in Designing and implementing the IT Department's strategy and vision.

You will be required to create a Functional Solutions Roadmap for the IT Strategy of the company. You will also be involved in drafting technical system designs and technical requirements specifications for projects and also designing, implementing and maintaining document standards and templates.

To be considered for this position you will need all or most of following:

· Thorough understanding of the commodities trading industry

· Experience as a Senior Business Analyst or Senior Leadership role

· Demonstrable experience with formal design methods i.e. UML

· Excellent documentation skills of complex business models

· Experience carrying out detailed analysis of business requirements

· Understanding of Enterprise Architecture & solution design

Another key aspect to your role will be to stay up to date with new technology and packaged application developments to identify products or services that could bring a business benefit.

It is likely that the successful candidate will have a good degree from a recognised university in a relevant discipline like Mathematics, Physics or Engineering.
