  • The Ashdown Group has been approached by a leading organisation to assist them in their search for a Regional Financial Controller.

    This FTSE 100 company require a Regional Financial Controller who will play a key role in reorganising the Regional and Country finance teams to meet the requirements of the new structure.

    The purpose of the role is to control internal regional reporting for the Rest of the World, build an effective Regional Reporting network, whilst participating in the transformation of the finance function in the Region.

    Responsibilities of the role will include:
    • External Reporting - Supporting statutory and other external reporting through co-ordination of regional reporting deliverables.
    • International Financial Reporting Standards - Ensure all standards are properly and consistently applied throughout the Region.
    • Regional Accounting - Control the Region consolidation each month, including Income Statement, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow and performance metrics.
    • Budgets and forecast - Prepare the consolidated Regional Budget for the Income Statement, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow, EPS, ROIC and reforecasts as required.
    • Decision support- Support country and regional teams to produce robust decision support financial information across the region.
    • Outsourcing - Build a strong relationship with the outsourcing provider and shared service center managers in the Region.

    To be considered for this role, you must have international experience and have worked for multi-location and multi-country B2B service organisation. The ideal candidate will have a hands-on ability to produce good quality reports in PowerPoint, Excel and Word. Additionally, you will be fluent in a second language.

    In addition, you will have an Accountancy qualification; ICAEW, ACCA, CIMA or overseas equivalent. You have excellent written English, a real energy and enthusiasm to work under pressure, possess strong technical accounting ability, up to date and in depth knowledge of IFRS and UK GAAP, whilst be educated to degree level either in finance or business administration.
