R&D Software Delivery Manager

They have a great opportunity for an R&D Software Delivery Manager to join their fast growing media technology company. You will be responsible for the R&D Software Delivery Group, which includes the Development Test Team and the Product Verification Group.

You must be able to identify, recommend and implement beneficial new working practices, whilst manage and drive forward the use of continuous integration system. Within this role, you will be responsible for the overall test strategy and approach, tool selection, reporting structure and software test training.

You will be experienced in the management of a Software Test Group, demonstrable experience in the automated testing of software systems, capable of unsupervised independent working, and have a good understanding of the Product Development process.

Essential skills required for this position are; Automated Test Techniques, Script Languages e.g. Python, Clearcase, GIT (or similar SCM system), Unit Tests, C++, Java, knowledge of contemporary project management techniques ( Agile, Kanban, Lean), strong understanding of version control branch and merge strategies, and you must have good knowledge and understanding of contemporary open source technologies and Continuous Integration Practices.

A suitable candidate will be flexible, self-motivated and have strong communication skills in order to provide the Director of Development with timely updates on all activities and progress of the R&D Software Delivery Group.
