Progress Developer

A Progress Developer is required by a West Midlands based PLC. In this role, the primary responsibility will be to develop applications in Progress, but there will also be a requirement to occasionally interface with customers to define their requirements. The successful candidate will also have responsibility for steering some of the more junior members of the development team.

To be suitable for this role you must be an experienced Progress Developer or Analyst Programmer with strong Progress development skills. As part of your Progress development experience, you will need to be able to demonstrate strong SmartObject and GUI programming skills. It is also essential that you have a strong knowledge of the full Software Development Lifecycle.

This position also requires the successful candidate to be someone who excels in a customer facing role and understands the need to deliver in accordance with customer expectations, budgets and timescales.
