Interim Head of Digital

This opportunity is within a high profile, not for profit company with a large and talented Marketing and Communications team.

The successful individual will join the Senior Management team and have responsibility for helping to shape the direction and strategy of future online/digital marketing initiatives. There are multiple new and on-going projects with differing deadlines so the ability to identify and manage business priorities and timings will be important.

There will be a focus in this role to ensure that all online/digital activity is user-focused, accessible, high quality, measurable and that it delivers against the agreed project objectives. Excellent written and verbal communication is essential as is a creative outlook, and a strong eye for detail and design.

The remit of the role is to contribute to the on-going development of the organisations strategic approach to communications and marketing – with a heavy emphasis on online/digital areas - and you will have overall responsibility for the external facing digital marketing activities and channels.

You will work closely with other teams including; Campaigns and Fundraising, Retail and Policy development to co-ordinate activities and ensure consistent and maximised brand exposure and results from the online/digital channels.

The ideal candidate for this position will have all or most of the below skills and experience:

• Extensive understanding of online/digital marketing practice
• Experience of using web analytics tools
• Experience with e-commerce initiatives
• Implementing & developing standards & processes to ensure consistency
• Managing relationships with agencies & service providers
• Knowledge of data management / user data management
• Experience of budget management

It has direct management responsibility for a number of permanent and contract team members. To be considered for the role you should be able to clearly demonstrate that you have previously managed, developed and motivated a team.
