  • A highly respected London based Commodities Trading company has a new permanent requirement for an Enterprise Engineer to join their IT team. This is a unique opportunity to work for an extremely well recognised enterprise scale company working with cutting edge technology.

    Experience working in Finance, Investment Banking, Energy, Insurance, Retail or Data Centre environments would strongly support your application.

    The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, configuration and management of the Windows and Linux estate and Microsoft clusters.


    To be considered for this position it is essential that you have excellent physical hardware configuration experience and support, especially HP C7000 blade enclosures and BL blades including Onboard Administrator configuration (OA), Netflex10 and HBA installation.

    In addition you will need all or most of the below skills and experience:

    • Linux or UNIX

    • Windows Server 2008 & Windows Server 2008 (R2) clustering

    • VMware ESXi (4.1) configuration & monitoring

    • Net Backup & VEEAM

    • EMC Data Domain – or equivalent

    • Active Directory Configuration and management in a multi-forest or multi-domain design

    • Citrix


    It would strongly support your application if you had experience with Exchange 2007 and Exchange 2010 and solid networking skills though this is not essential.

    As a Windows Specialist in an enterprise environment you will have to work closely with other teams and ensure that the IT Departments policies and procedures are implemented in relation to Disaster Recovery, Operational Acceptance Testing and Change Control.

    The role will also involve planning and coordinating of the design and implementation of technology upgrades.

    It is likely that the successful candidate will have a degree from a recognised university in a relevant discipline like Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, Physics or engineering and to have had a solid career in a rapid data flow environment.
