  • An experienced and talented Infrastructure Engineer is required by a highly successful organisation that is based just outside Kingston upon Thames.

    The Company
    This organisation has an HO operation in Surrey with approximately 2000 users based across several UK, Western Europe and North American sites. The infrastructure is Windows Server based (approximately 170-180 physical and virtual servers) and has a complex network infrastructure. The organisation has increased in size by approximately 500 staff in the past 3 years and is likely to do so again in the next 18 months. From an IT perspective, this is a very good time in which to join as the company will shortly be coming out of a period of technology integration and consolidation and planning for numerous technology upgrades across the group.

    The Role
    This role will involve working within a team of Systems Administrators/Engineers all of whom are experts around Windows related network infrastructure. Initially the role will encompass technology integrations, but in the medium term it is likely that there will be a number of infrastructure, network and application upgrade projects encompassing the UK, Europe and the US operations.

    Requirements
    To be suitable for this role it is essential that you are an expert in Windows Server 2003/2008, preferably with a Microsoft qualification to underpin your experience. In addition to your core Windows Server experience you will need to have a deep knowledge of Active Directory forests, VMware, LAN and WAN architecture, and ideally Citrix and MS Exchange. Experience of project managing upgrades, integrations and migrations is also essential. Preferably, your experience will have been gained in an enterprise environment.

    Salary and Benefits
    This organisation offers a starting salary of up to £42,000 and in addition there is a bonus (plus a considerably larger bonus scheme in year 2), a generous pension scheme, onsite parking and a flexible benefits package. This business is very much a family orientated employer and offers facilities that would be particularly beneficial to someone with very young children.
