  • This is a 6 -9 month contract, working 3 days per week, so the please note salary paid will be 3/5 as 3 days a week, figure shown is for comparison).

    This global FTSE quoted company has a long and distinguished history and are a byword for excellence. Their performance over the past few years has been superb and now is a particularly exciting time to be joining them.

    They have an opportunity to join the HR team at a large Cumbrian manufacturing site as an HR Manager, 3 days a week for an initial 6-9 month contract. The role requires an HR Generalist to pick up workflow across the full HR life cycle.

    Project work will be also be part of your role, and as the site is heavily unionised you will find that will impact upon the nature of your work.

    For example you will be expected to ensure that the company is not exposed to legal problems which could result in costs and damage, so will be providing guidance to line managers around ER issues; facilitating large scale workforce restructurings, reductions in headcount, and acquisitions.

    Also you will be tasked with ensuring that all employees are able to contribute to their full potential through employee development, employee relations and coaching support.
