HR Director

A reputable business that has been operating for over 60 years and currently employing more than 600 staff is looking for a pragmatic HR Director to join their small HR team.

Reporting into the General Manager and working closely with the leadership team, the successful candidate will be responsible for creating and managing the delivery of quarterly, annual and longer term people strategies. The role involves managing a team of four HR professionals to provide a comprehensive HR service with a focus on recruitment strategies, succession planning, retention, employee engagement, performance as well as employer branding.

In order to be suitable for this role you must have experience working in an HR Director, Senior HR Business Partner, Senior HR Manager or similar role and therefore possess a demonstrable track record at senior HR management level. Experience of working in retail, service, media sales or a similar fast moving, consumer focused business environment in a senior HR role is required. It is also essential to be a creative, solutions based HR professional with the ability to influence and create confidence at senior board level. Membership of the CIPD is highly desirable.
