  • The Ashdown Group has been engaged by a leading organisation to assist them in their search for a Head of Purchase to Pay, to join their Shared Services team.

    The purpose of this role is to lead and develop a high performing P2P team within in a fast moving Shared Service environment where passion, creativity and excellence are key. You will manage the P2P operations which includes Third Party and Inter-company invoices, Purchase Orders, P-Cards, Travel and Expenses, whilst providing high level of service according to SLA.

    A key part of the role is to continuously improve the P2P process, therefore it is part of the role to lead this change within the team, whilst identifying and mitigating risk as the change is integrated. In addition, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies in order to improve the efficiency of all P2P transactions and processes, and for overall P2P customer service management in the UK.

    We are looking for someone who can manage relationships with all business customers and key stakeholders, recruit, manage and develop staff, support the annual budget process, manage the monthly, quarterly and annual reporting process whilst ensure that the accounting submissions are completed accurately and in accordance within the defined timetable. In addition, you will be responsible for managing internal and external audits, whilst implement operational plans based on SSC strategy and annual plans to support long term business strategy.

    Ideally, you will have experience of working in a Shared Services environment with onshore and offshore operations, have a strong understanding of purchasing processes and transaction systems, and change management experience. Strong IT skills are essential, as is a qualification or part-qualification in ACA, ACCA or CIMA. In addition, experience in Cognos and Peoplesoft is highly desirable.
