  • A growing retailer is looking for an experienced accounting professional to lead a small finance department based in East Sussex.

    You will be charged with bringing structure to the financial reporting processes and will be comfortable providing detailed strategic analysis. You will also be responsible for all of the daily tasks associated with the efficient functioning of an accounts department including management accounts, monthly reporting, profit & loss projections and payroll.

    In addition to this you will have a solid understanding of duty and excise, taxation regimes and the foreign exchange markets due to the import/export nature of the business. Further, you will be required to ensure that the business is compliant with pan-European trading standards.

    This is a very broad ranging role so my client is looking for a personable accountant who will be comfortable discharging all of the responsibilities inherent to the position.
