  • A growing restaurant group, looking towards further expansion, is seeking the services of an industry specific Finance Director.

    The role requires specific knowledge of high-end restaurant finance and reporting. The ideal candidate will have seen a multi-site environment and experienced a period of rapid company growth in previous roles.

    The company has planned to expand in London and the South East of England and so requires the candidate to be willing to travel, attend meetings and make presentations.

    The oversight responsibilities of the Finance Director include the validation, monitoring and reporting of multiple restaurant budgets. The FD must also oversee returns and annual financial auditing, along with preliminary annual tax calculations.

    At interview the Financial Director will need to demonstrate experience and knowledge in the following areas: Accounting software; management reporting; money laundering procedures; knowledge of contract law; financial accounting; payroll; tax and VAT.

    It is not necessary to have already been a board member in a previous role but reporting to the management team and strategic planning are key parts of this Financial Director's remit. Those candidates looking to step into their first Finance Director position are also encouraged to apply.

    You will be heavily involved in the restaurants, meeting with and presenting to the managers regarding profit and loss, financial targets and how they can make efficiency savings. External meetings will include with banks, investors and suppliers.
