E-Commerce Web Developer

  • An established online retail business has invited the Ashdown Group to assist in the recruitment of an experienced Web Developer with expertise in delivering e-commerce web sites. The business is planning to embark on a major programme of development with a large number of business to consumer sites planned for the next 12 to 18 months. The initial task will be the build of a core, general retail site and additional, more specialised sites will be interlinked to this site over time.

    In order to be considered for this role, you must be highly adept with ASP.NET and SQL Server and should be conversant with a broad range of web development and data manipulation technologies such as HTML, CSS, XML and XSLT. A familiarity with scripting languages (VBscript, Javascript) is also expected.

    Salary £25,000 to £35,000 dependent on experience

    Requirements:
    Sound knowledge of ASP.NET and SQL Server
    Broad knowledge of general web and data manipulation technologies
    Experience of building e-commerce websites

    Additional requirements:
    Useful to have Classic ASP skills
    Usefull to have mentoring / team leading knowledge
