  • A leading independent international media firm that has been operating for almost twenty years is looking for an articulate and enthusiastic IT Support Technician. The successful candidate will be working closely with the IT Manager and be responsible for providing 1st / 2nd line support as well as assisting with network infrastructure upgrades and other IT projects. Duties will include managing IT requests on the in-house helpdesk system, providing remote and desk side software support, installing and upgrading desktop software, configuring or replacing hardware as well as creating and maintaining internal support documentation.

    In order to be suitable for this role you must have previous experience working in a Helpdesk Analyst, Desktop Support Analyst, 2nd Line Support Engineer, IT Support Technician or similar role. Please note, IT graduates with experience gained through a placement year will be considered. It is essential to have solid technical knowledge including Windows XP, MS Office 2003/ 2007/ 2010, PC/laptop hardware set up and configuration as well as IT peripherals and basic networking concepts. Any experience of working in the media industry will considered beneficial but is not essential.

    This is a hands-on role for a global firm within an exciting and fast-moving industry.

    • Paying a base salary of up to £24,000 depending on experience plus benefits including 20 days holiday, pension, life assurance, BUPA and interest free season ticket loan
