Desktop Support Analyst

An international company and a household name, this client is highly successful and based in Bedford. They are seeking an experienced Support Engineer to join their busy IT team.

The purpose of the PC and Network Support Specialist position is to provide support for all networked PC’s and Servers in a Microsoft Windows Environment. You will help to upgrade Network/PC software and hardware, manage security settings and User ID’s on the networks, control Server Backups and diagnostics, log all problems for users, and recommend appropriate training for them.

You require demonstrable experience with all or most of the following technologies to be suitable for this role: the ability to image new PC's and laptops, Lotus Notes / Domino administration, in depth knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, Systems backups (Symantec Backup Exec), software licence and backup administration, Citrix Presentation Server 4.5/Citrix Access Gateway, Network Printer Administration

While not essential it would support your application if you had an understanding of VoIP and VPN, Blackberry, Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, Group Policies, McAfee Antivirus and RSA SecureID.
