A large, international FMCG organisation has an opportunity for an experienced Category Manager to join their Customer Marketing Team.Please be aware you will need to drive and have a clean driver's licence as there will be occasional travel to client sites within the local area. The ideal candidate will have a Marketing or Business degree (or a similar discipline) and strong numeracy and analytical skills.The overall remit of this position focusses on data analysis across the Personal Care products category for multiple customers to provide factual based information in line with retailer and business objectives. Using this data you will report on trends, initiatives, threats and opportunities.There will be regular presentations as part of this role; so you will need to be a confident and clear communicator, happy to present new ideas and build relationships with clients.As the Category Management Manger you will provide relevant internal and external reporting and recommendations to develop the business. You will analyse factual based data and work cross-functionally with the marketing and sales team to champion specific brands within the business planning cycle.
You should have experience with most or all of the below:• Data Analysis including recommendations to improve performance against target
• Provide analytical base & interpretation for Category, Brand & Customer plans
• Data management - sourcing, coverage & maintenance of data
• Presenting information & analysis to internal stakeholders & external clients
The analysis you provide will help to drive the commercial decision making process i.e. product development, merchandising, marketing and positioning.
