  • A market leading international organisation is actively looking for an Application Support Analyst/Developer.

    Based from the Central London offices you will be joining a team of 10 responsible for providing 2nd/3rd line application support for internal and external parties using a diverse range of IT & intranet based applications. These applications are built using classic ASP to ASP.Net using VB.Net as the primary language as well as VB6. You will be analysing requests, documenting business requirements and providing minor fixes within those applications; so it is a requirement to have advanced knowledge of web application development using those languages. A unique aspect to this role will involve providing ad hoc external support to a high-end VIP client base; so it goes without saying that exceptional written and verbal communication skills are essential. Global travel is also a requirement of this role so you MUST be flexible and able to travel without restriction possibly at short notice.
    There will also be an ongoing requirement to contribute to improving service levels and ensuring enhancements and updates to applications are completed on time and to specification.
    To be suitable for this position you must possess the following skills:
    - Ability to understand relational database design and data access from applications
    - Ability to understand SQL scripts and write stored procedures for generating data reports from databases
    - Advanced knowledge on web application development using ASP.Net, VB.Net & VB6

    Experience with applications such as SharePoint or Business Intelligence tools would be highly advantageous although not essential.
