  • The Ashdown Group has been engaged by a leading organisation to assist them in their search for an Application Analyst.

    The purpose of the role is to maintain world-class application hosting in collaboration with a vendor in order to support change control processes, escalations and emergency needs. You will be providing hands-on analysis and administration for Linux, JBoss, Windows Server, Tomcat, IIS and database technologies. You will also be responsible for training internal and vendor staff on how to respond to software issues such as; application logs, web servers and database locking.

    To be suitable for this position, you must have strong knowledge of installing, maintaining and troubleshooting Red Hat Enterprise Linux Servers, Microsoft IIS and Apache Web servers. In addition, you will have a broad understanding of and exposure to IT technologies, applications, best practices and processes. This includes monitoring, load balancing, software deployment, backups and SAN technology. Experience of working in an ITIL environment is required.

    As an industry leader, our client operate a large environment with over 1000 locations across 100 countries. It is due to their success that they require an Application Analyst to join their team in Brentwood.

    A degree in science is highly desirable. ITIL and Red Hat Certification Engineering experience is also advantageous.

    There is an on-call responsibility associated with this role for incident resolution and troubleshooting, therefore you will be required to provide support after normal working hours when necessary.
