A very successful Stockport based distribution business has a requirement for an Accounts Assistant or an Accounts Junior with sales invoicing knowledge.
In this role the successful candidate will be working in a small team and within a fairly junior capacity. The focus of the role will be fairly heavily weighted towards the sales ledger and managing a number of sales invoices each day that tend to be quite complex in nature. Outside of the responsibilities around the sales ledger and invoicing process, there will be a good opportunity to become involved in all aspects of support within a busy finance department. The business is particularly keen to promote personal growth and development, and as such they will support and sponsor candidates that wish to gain qualifications such as ACCA or AAT.
To be suitable for this role, you will need to have some experience within an Accounts Department already and you will need to have a very good understanding of the complexities of sales invoicing processes. In addition, you will need to have a strong knowledge of MS Excel, preferably to a level where you can create a pivot table and be the type of person who is confident dealing with suppliers and debtors. Due to the complex nature of the sales invoicing process, an exceptional level of attention to detail is a pre-requisite.
