Accounts Assistant / Credit Controller

Due to rapid expansion an award winning leisure services organisation is seeking to hire an Accounts Assistant / Credit Controller to assist the finance team in helping move the business forward. This role is based in South West London and offering a competitive salary of up to £25,000 per annum.

You will have at least 3 years’ previous finance experience, and will be at least part qualified AAT or similar. You will be confident in your approach to solving problems and be able to obtain results efficiently. You will be experienced in carrying out reconciliations and generally confident working with numbers. It is essential you have a strong attention to detail, be happy to work on your own initiative, take ownership of projects and be an effective communicator and strong team player.

Duties Include;

· Assist with the production of monthly management accounts from Quickbooks

· Full monthly P&L review and preparation / posting of month end journals

· Taking control of the agent invoicing process to include agent/group reconciliations, chasing of overdue balances and suggested system improvements

· Assisting in the preparation of VAT returns

· Identifying areas of potential cost savings

· Suggesting & implementing improved controls & procedures

· Reconciling travel bookings from systems to supplier invoices

· Payment of suppliers & debt control

· Providing support with ad-hoc projects

This role based in Clapham with occasional travel to, Dublin and Germany
