.Net Developer

A highly respected London based commodity trading company has a new permanent requirement for a talented .Net Developer to join their IT team. This is a unique opportunity to work for an extremely well-recognised enterprise scale company working with cutting edge technology.

Experience of working in investment banking, energy or commodities trading or the insurance sector would strongly support your application so please ensure this is clearly indicated on your CV.

The successful individual will collaborate with other developers to create and support custom built commodity energy trading and risk management systems (ETRM).

You must have demonstrable experience of designing, building and maintaining applications in a distributed Microsoft environment. You will also have solid experience of developing large scale Windows UI applications including database development and construction of stored procedures.

To be considered for this position you will need all or most of the below skills and experience:

• Significant experience of developing bespoke applications using C# Framework 4 & .Net
• Experience of the design & construction of software/application solutions
• Experience of WPF & WCF
• Expert understanding of object-oriented analysis & design
• Experience of SQL including stored procedure development ( Oracle or SQL Server)
• Experience in working in an Agile environment

Any knowledge of Oracle PL/SQL, Unity, WIX Packaging MSMQ or UML is also desirable, though not essential.

Microsoft Team Foundation Server (TFS) has been adopted as the tool for Source Control and Project Management so experience with this would be of significant benefit; please ensure it is clearly outlined on your CV.

It is likely that the successful candidate will have a degree from a top university in a relevant discipline, such as Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, Physics or Engineering and have had a solid experience developing bespoke software applications.
