Finishing your CV

This cannot be underlined enough - re-read your CV!

Always re-read your CV several times and make improvements as necessary. Read your CV to yourself slowly and put the breaths into your sentences to make sure you have used punctuation where it’s needed.
Finishing Your CV
Don’t settle for second best. Your CV needs to be your very best effort – it is you presenting yourself to a future employer. Be proud of your CV and give it all the care and consideration needed.

Show your CV to someone else and ask for a second opinion - be willing to take constructive criticism. Check you’ve spelt words correctly with the use of a dictionary and remedy any areas that have attracted a green squiggle!

Most people use Microsoft Office and the application provides useful pointers showing where improvements could be made or things need to be corrected. Don’t ignore punctuation – it’s essential that your CV reads well and serves its purpose.
