The ideal candidate will be a technology enthusiast with a keen interest in networking and CISCO technologies and who would like to work in an IP / Telecoms environment. Any experience gained in a hosting, ISP or datacentre environment would be advantageous but is certainly not essential.
The company is a niche network and connectivity provider that is growing steadily and with a client base that includes many household names. This is an excellent opportunity for a candidate who is looking for a role where they can grow their current technical skills and experience in a progressive and supportive team environment.
Working in a technical customer service capacity receiving calls on the helpdesk, you will be the first point of contact when customers experience any technical problems.
You must have a flexible approach to your work and enjoy troubleshooting and resolving technical problems. There will be shift work involved which will include weekends and possibly evenings as part of a team rota.
You will be trained over time to the level where you can resolve most of these problems directly - although if escalation to 2nd or 3rd line support is required you will still be able to follow the process through to its resolution. This will enable you to build good relationships with clients and rapidly grow your understanding of common technical problems within a Telecoms / NOC / Networking environment.
