Description:
The Ashdown Group has been engaged by a leading organisation to assist them in their search for a Network Team Leader.
We are looking for a network engineer with a strong server infrastructure background to join our client.
To be suitable for this position you will be a highly motivated self starter with enterprise network experience working with the following technologies:
• CCNA required. CCNP/CCVP desirable
• Extensive knowledge of networking and network protocols
• Competency with Checkpoint R75 / Cisco ASA firewalls
• Cisco Unified Communications Manager 8
• Cisco Unity Connection 8
• Cisco Wide Area Application Services
• Windows Server or Linux OS desirable
• Project management skills
• Vendor/Supplier relationship management
• ITIL Awareness
• ISO 27001 experience/awareness
• Ability to work autonomously and with other teams in IT and in other areas of the business
• Aptitude to quickly gain knowledge of new technologies in order to support business needs
• Thorough knowledge of TCP/IP, related protocols and IP subnetting
• Understanding of network security systems
You will be responsible for the network infrastructure and will provide backup support for 250+ network devices and 3500 users. As well as being technically strong you will have proven team leadership ability.
You will be required to support and optimise network infrastructure to ensure the availability of IT services and provide resolution of technical issues and problems. You must implement technical changes.
You will work with project teams during design, delivery and operational transition of new network services and assist in the specification and provisioning of the network infrastructure.
In addition you must ensure security is maintained throughout the infrastructure and remains compliant with internal and external standards, policies and governance.
You will need excellent communication skills and be able to work on your own initiative as well as providing leadership to team members.
