An international FMCG organisation has an opportunity for a Trade Marketing Manager to join their Customer Marketing Team.
This is a client facing position and requires someone with confidence, excellent communication skills and a professional approach. A key aspect of your role is to forge a strong network of contacts with retailers so you become the first point of contact for all Shopper Marketing activities.
Please be aware you will need to drive and have a clean driver's licence as there will be regular travel to client sites required.
The overall remit of your role is to deploy 'best in class' activation strategies aligned with the needs of the retailer and the company’s brands and categories. Working with multiple customers you will provide Trade Marketing activities that deliver supplier advantage. You will work closely with the Marketing, Sales and Commercial teams to develop Marketing plans for specific products and retailers. You will also work with the Insight team to understand and apply actionable shopper insights with the aim of increasing brand awareness. In addition you will develop and implement tailored retailer activation plans to meet short, medium and long term objectives.
A good understanding of shopper behaviour is essential to be considered for this role. You will represent shopper strategy for specific retailers in order to optimise alignment with business needs and develop relationships with customers in order to provide effective support and guidance. This role is likely to suit an individual with a solid background in trade marketing (or possibly brand or product marketing) with a broad skill set and an understanding of the full lifecycle from concept development through to ‘on the shelf’.
Budgetary responsibility is a key element of this position and you will operate with Return on Marketing Investment (ROMI) and Return on Capital Employed (ROCE) processes to ensure effective and efficient investment of the Trade Marketing budget for individual customers.
• A permanent position with a basic salary of £30-40,000 pa plus company car, pension, 25 days holiday and retail discounts
